Tour Overview
Day 1
Hoi An arrival
When you arrive at Danang airport, we will pick you up there and transfer to Hoi An to check-in your hotel. We spend the afternoon for a walking tour around this enchanting port town. Follow the narrow lanes lined with centuries-old houses influenced by Chinese, Japanese, French and European architectures and visit its numerous places of interest: the 400-year old Japanese Covered Bridge, the Phuc Kien Assembly Halls, the local fish market… Around the town we can see a numerous art galleries and tailor shops, get some made-to-order clothes if you like.

Day 2
Hoi An untold
9:45 AM – pick up from your hotel to An Hoi pier, where you’ll find a a traditional long-tail racing boat are waiting. Our escape to the tranquil and scenic Hoi An’s backyard can start. We hit the waters of the Thu Bon River and travel to its estuary. The waterway is pretty large but sometimes very shallow; people can pull nets to fish simply walking on the bottom of the river.
We reach the freshwater coconut mangrove of Cam Thanh after about 30 minutes; turn off the boat engine and use rowing paddles. This place needs silence to be fully appreciated. It suddenly feels like we are in the arroyos of the Mekong delta, the mangrove is thick and takes us away from everything for a little while.
Our next stop will be a bamboo workshop where you’ll meet a talented craftsman, learn about his family daily life and amazing bamboo product, and it’s time for your own product under his guidance.
Lunch will be served at a local house in a quiet Cam Thanh area. In the afternoon, we’ll get on about an hour cycling to a village that is famous across the country for its herbs and plants cultures. A farmer who will later take us around and introduce the different plants welcomes us.
At about 4pm, we get back on the waters and head to the town again. We end the day in style, entering the old quarter through its waterway while the sunsets. We see you off at An Hoi pier around 5pm.

Day 3
My Son & Drive to Hue
08:00 AM - Drive about 50km from Hoi An to the My Son sanctuary. This was the site for religious ceremonies of kings of the Champa dynasty, and was also a burial place for Champa’s royalty and national heroes. The My Son temples are one of the largest Hindu complexes in Southeast Asia and are a premier heritage in Vietnam. Though much of the complex has been destroyed over time, we can still see many majestic ruins of temples and learn what archaeologists can tell us about the deep history in this area.
Afterwards, we head back to Hoi An for lunch at a local restaurant. In the afternoon, we continue driving to Hue via the dramatic Hai Van pass. The panoramic views are excellent - you should be able to see Lang Co beach and village, and the lagoon far below, with the city of Hue spread out before you to the north. Check into your hotel in Hue.

Day 4
Hue – heritage, nature and people full day tour
8:00 AM – pick up from your. We go first for a visit of the citadel and an incredible jump into the past with the introduction to Vietnam History, its emperors, mandarins, and feudal system. A past heritage that is reinvented by the person we visit next. This artist took the tradition of using bamboo for paper production to a whole new level with his innovative techniques. He will introduce his art to us in his workshop. We end the morning with an easy paced visit of the Thien Mu pagoda, one of the prettiest religious buildings in Vietnam that was built in early 1600’s.
We cross the Perfume River on a local boat and reach Thuy Bieu village to have lunch at a local house. The village is a real maze of narrow alleys giving access to ancient garden houses all more beautiful than another. But the real treasures of this village are the people, descendants of the Mandarins. We have a gentle walk around and will stop by some house to meet villagers and taste some of their fruits.
On the way back to the city center, we visit emperor Tu Duc’s tomb and climb up a little hill to have a scenic view over the Perfume River. We drop you at your hotel, end of the tour.

Day 5
Hue departure
After breakfast, free time for shopping till driver comes to your hotel and transfer to Danang airport for the flight out. Tour ends at Danang airport.
